From time to time a workshop will be created to allow members a hands on opportunity to learn a new technique or to give them an opportunity as a group to be creative in quilting.

Our next workshop will be:

Saturday, September 7, 2019.  It is a Wool workshop, beginner and intermediate .  We will start at 10:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Kaufman, see map.

Quilt of Valor Jelly Roll Race on February 10, 2018

Flannel Log Cabin Blue Jean Quilt Class taught by Jill Wade in August, 2015 and many of our ladies came out and enjoyed learning a new technique.

Kids' Quilt workshop will be Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Landmark Church beginning at 10:00.  We will be making some really cute children's quilts using the "Fun and Done" template.  When you are finished, the quilt will already be quilted!  Rose has the batting already cut for us.  Everyone needs 1/2 yard of 2 different kids fabrics and 2 1/2 yards to coordinate as sashing and backing.  See the picture. If anyone has a Fun and Done template, please bring it. You will also need to bring your sewing machine, rotary cutter and other sewing supplies.
Bring your own lunch for a fun day of sewing.  Donuts, coffee, tea and dessert will be provided.

Remember you get double community service points for kids' quilts in February!

Raffle Quilt Workshop February 22, 2014 and many talented ladies gave of their time and talent for the event led by Jane N. and Tonya R.

The Quilt of Valor Workshop Saturday, August 24, 2013  that was organized and held by Tonya R. and Judy S. was a true success!  There were 13 women that participated in the workshop.  Judy S. would personally like to thank all those who took time out of their schedule to work on the five quilt kits that Tonya R. had prepared in advance.  She would also like to thank her for her generous donation of all the fabric involved on the kits and her instructor skills.  She kept everyone moving along and even sent some home with homework!
